42nd ANNUAL DAY CELEBRATIONS

Shri B.S.Mootha Girls Senior Secondary School celebrated its 42nd Annual Day on Friday, the 16th December, 2022 at Kalaivanar Arangam, Chennai, with zest and zeal. 

The Hon’ble  Chief guest, Shri.Palanivel Thiyagarajan, Minister for Finance and Human Resources  Management ,Government of Tamil Nadu embellished the occassion. 

Shri J.Karunanithi , Member of the Legislative Assembly was the guest of honour.

Among other dignitaries present were the  Chairman Mr. Prakash.C. Sacheti, Managing Trustee Mr. L Dharmichand Singhvi, Secretary Mr. Vijay Kothari, Correspondent Mr. Kishan Srisrimal Jain and the Principal 
Mrs.Swarnalatha Gopalakrishnan. Other Management members also graced the ceremony by their presence.
 
Shri Adarsh Pachera, IPS, Deputy Commissioner of Police, was the Chief Guest for the Primary Cultural Extravaganza. The event explored the theme of creativity and imagination and was titled  “ Dreams to Vision”.The highlights of the fete included Dream Song, an English skit ,Gratitude to Founders, One India one Dream.
The invigorating day commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the Hon’ble Chief Guest and Guest of Honor. 

This entailed the bouquet presentation to the guests. Through an audio visual presentation, the audience had a look at the great strides the school has made since its inception in 1975.

The Principal 
Mrs. Swarnalatha Gopalakrishnan presented the School Annual Report highlighting the accolades won by the school at various platforms.

The Correspondent Mr Kishan Srisrimal Jain addressed the gathering. 

This was followed by the Prize Distribution Ceremony, where the Hon’ble Chief Guest Shri.Palanivel Thiyagarajan, Minister for Finance and Human Resources  Management,
Government of Tamil Nadu gave away prizes to the academically meritorious students of   X and XII Board Examination.

Addressing the gathering, the Chief Guest stated that the students have smartly carved a niche for themselves. 

He added that the students should not only be imparted excellent education but also be given great scruple and values so they can effectively serve their nation. 
 
The Cultural Fiesta was based on the theme-“Zindagi Ka Kaleidoscope” .

The Navarasa or the nine emotions were represented through different dance forms and dramatic acts. 

The invocation dance, “Shiv Thandav” engrossed the audience, creating a pious and spiritual environment. 

 Songs based on Veer Ras which is a symbol of fearlessness, Self-Assurance and heroism were sung by the students.

The Shringaar Ras showcased the classical grace depicting the divine love story of lord Krishna and Radha . 

The  riveting performance which drew an unceasing applause was the spectacular ‘UV Dance’.  

Fashion Walk-Fashionista, added great elan, as enthusiastic students walked on the ramp with grace and poise.

The sizzling  hand dance depicting Shaanth Ras impressed the audience for their  elegance and graceful movements. 

The contemporary dance number- a tribute to parents depicted the true definition of Karuna Ras. 

The thematic dance forms representing Rowdra, and Bhibits created a sense of thrill among the audience gathered there. 

An array of cultural pieces like the skit and mime conveyed thought provoking messages. It was a journey into thriving compassion among characters and heart touching scenes interwoven into a dramatically overwhelming play by the students. 
The stage took on hues enhancing the mood of every emotion. 

The entire school participated wholeheartedly towards the success of this grand event. 

Our Annual Day was a celebration of culture, art, creativity and talent. 

The venue reverberated with thunderous applause; gleaming faces exchanged appreciative nods as the audience witnessed the perfection and extravaganza of the show. 

The fabulous show was an unforgettable experience and left a lasting impression on the minds of everyone present. It was indeed a spectacular display of talent and fervor. 

The exhilarating day came to an end with the vote of thanks and followed by the National Anthem .
