*MAGASAR – A Riveting Edge-of-Seat Revenge Thriller*
Fredricks John & Digix Movies are jointly producing the film ‘Magasar’, directed by Sunil Karma. The film features ‘Vilangu’ web series fame Kicha, Fredricks John (Doctor Fredricks), Sampath Ram, Japan Kumar, Nandita Jenifer, Paruthiveeran Venkatesh, Shalu Saranesh Kumara, Usha Elizebeth Suraj, Ravi Venkatram, and many others are a part of this star cast. A dog named Bruno is also playing an important role in this movie.
The film’s script is jointly written by Nikil Jinan and A.R. Ratheesh. Vijay Paul is composing music, and Ramesh .G is handling cinematography. Ziyan Srikanth is taking care of editing works for this movie.
A retired CBI officer is paralyzed and is now spending his days in a peaceful way with his wife in a bungalow located at hill station. Although, he is retired, the police department keeps seeking his help in cracking some complicated mysterious cases. He also imparts important lessons to the civil service students based on his experiences.
The retired officer soon starts doubting that someone is vigilantly monitoring and following him constantly. One day on a snowy night, a passer-by asks him for help. He asks for the official's phone number to inform the person concerned that he has to go on a long journey. Although the officer gets suspicious about the stranger, he doesn’t react instantly. He gets inside the house and turns back to see the stranger missing. After a rapid search, he finally finds him with a gun pointing towards his wife, who is in deep sleep.
He now starts sending some shivers into the officer’s spine asking questions like “Don’t you remember me?” Who’s he actually? What’s his intention behind his disguise as stranger, and now taking the couple as captive? What’s the buried hatchet between them from the past? How the protagonist deals with him forms the crux of this story that is narrated with the edge-of-seat moments.
Fredricks John (Doctor Fredricks) plays the retired police officer, and the mysterious stranger role is played by ‘Vilangu’ series fame Kicha. Sampath Ram plays the police officer, and Nandita Jennifer performs an important character. This film is based on a Revenge-Thriller genre and will keep the audiences guessing till the end.”
The film has been shot in and around the locales of Coimbatore. While the film’s first look has garnered good response, the trailer and audio will be launched shortly.
