திரைத்துறை உள்ளிட்ட கலைத்துறையில் ஈடுபடுவதையே பலர் சாதனையாக கருதும் நிலையில், கலைத்துறையில் மட்டும் இன்றி ராணுவத்திலும் இணைந்து தமிழ் நடிகை ஒருவர் சாதித்திருக்கிறார்.

கடந்த 2021 ஆம் ஆண்டு வெளியான திரைப்படம் ’காதம்பரி’. சமூக கருத்தை வலியுறுத்தி உருவான திகில் திரைப்படமான இப்படத்தில் கதாநாயகியாக அறிமுகமானர் அகிலா நாராயணன். அமெரிக்கா வாழ் தமிழ் பெண்ணான இவர் கலை மீது இருந்த ஆர்வத்தின் காரணமாக தனது தனிப்பட்ட முயற்சியால் தமிழ் சினிமாவில் நடிகையாக அறிமுகமானார். நடிப்போடு பிரபல பாடகியாகவும் வலம் வந்த அகிலா நாராயணன், கலைத்துறையோடு தனது சாதனை பயணத்தை  நிறுத்திக்கொள்ளாமல், ராணுவத்தில் இணைய வேண்டும் என்று முடிவு செய்தார்.

மிக கடினமான பயிற்சிகளை கொண்ட அமெரிக்க ராணுவத்தில் பட்டம் பெறுவது என்பது மிக சவாலானது என்றாலும், தனது மகளின் விருப்பத்துக்கு அகிலாவின் குடும்பத்தாரும் சம்மதம் தெரிவிக்க, கடுமையான பல மாத பயிற்சிகளை வெற்றிகரமாக முடித்து பட்டம் பெற்ற அகிலா நாராயணன், அமெரிக்க ராணுவத்தில் வழக்கறிஞராக இணைந்துள்ளார்.

இதன் மூலம் அமெரிக்க ராணுவத்தில் இணைந்த முதல் தமிழ் நடிகை என்ற பெருமையை பெற்றிருக்கும் அகிலா நாராயணன், அமெரிக்க ராணுவத்தின் பலவிதமான கடின பயிற்சிகளை வெற்றிகரமாக முடித்து வீரமும், விவேகமும், பலமும் கொண்ட பெண்மணியாக தன்னை நிரூபித்துள்ளார்.

இங்கு என்னை நடிகர் என்று இங்கு மேடைக்கு அழைத்த போது,  எனக்கு கூச்சமாக இருந்தது. நான் நடிகன் அல்ல. தமிழ் நாட்டில் தலை சிறந்த பேச்சாளர்களில் ஒருவனாக என்னை வளர்த்து கொண்டவன். நான் இரண்டு திரைப்படங்களில் தான் நடித்து இருக்கிறேன். இந்தப்படத்திலும்  நடித்துள்ளேன். இந்தப்படத்தில் தம்பி அசாரின் நடிப்பும் பாட்டும் உற்சாகம் கொள்ள வைக்கிறது. காட்சிகளை பார்க்க பிரமிப்பாக குதூகலம் தருவதாக அமைந்துள்ளது. ஒரு படத்தை எடுத்து வெளியிட கோடிக்கணக்கில் தேவைப்படும் எனும் நிலையை ரசிகர்கள் மாற்றிக்காட்ட வேண்டும், தம்பி அசாரின் நடிப்பில் இப்படம் அதனை மாற்றிக்காட்டும். இந்தப்படம் காதலை நகைச்சுவையுடன் ரசிக்கும் படி சொல்லியிருக்கிறது.  கடலை போட பொண்ணு வேணும் படம் பற்றி பேச எனக்கு தகுதி இல்லை, ஏனெனில் நான் கடலை போட்டதில்லை. காதலுக்கு கடலை போடுவதை தாண்டி நிறைய இருக்கிறது என நம்புபவன் நான். காதல் புனிதமானது,  மகத்தானது அதை சமகாலத்தில் இளைஞர்களை ஈர்க்கும் வகையில் தம்பி ஆனந்த ராஜன் சொல்லியுள்ளார். அனைவரையும் கவரும் படமாக இப்படம் இருக்கும் என நம்புகிறேன். அனைவருக்கும் வாழ்த்துக்கள் நன்றி.

இப்படத்தின் பாடல்கள் பார்த்தேன் ரொம்பவும் அருமையாக இருந்தது. தம்பி அசார் அழகான நடிப்பில் ஈர்க்கிறார். தயாரிப்பாளர் இல்லாமல் சினிமா இல்லை தயாரிப்பாளரை ஏமாற்றாதீர்கள்,  அனைவரும் இணைந்து ஈகோ இல்லாமல் வேலை பார்த்தால் சினிமா ஒரு அருமையான தொழில், ஆனால் இங்கு அது நடப்பதில்லை. தயாரிப்பாளர் குஞ்சுமோன் வந்துள்ளார் இயக்குநர் ஷங்கரை உருவாக்கியவர்,  ஆனால் அவர் இப்போது படமெடுப்பது இல்லை , கோடிகளை கொட்டும் தயாரிப்பாளர்களுக்கு இங்கு மரியாதை இல்லை. தயாரிப்பாளருக்கு லாபம் வந்தால் மீண்டும் படம் தான் எடுப்பார்கள் ஆனால் ஹீரோவுக்கு கொடுக்கும் பணம் என்னவாகிறது?, திரும்ப வருவதே இல்லை. கடலை போட பொண்ணு வேணும் ஆனால் இந்த காலத்தில் பெண்ணிடம்  கடலை போட்டுட்டு,  கடலில் போட்டு விடுகிறீர்களே ?  காதல் செய்து ஏமாற்றாதீர்கள். கடினமாக உழைத்து படமெடுத்துள்ளார்கள் இந்தப்படம் மிகப்பெரிய வெற்றி பெற வேண்டும். வாழ்த்துக்கள்

இந்த படத்தில் ஒரு பாடல் நான் ஆடியிருக்கிறேன் தீனா மாஸ்டர் கோரியோகிராபி செய்துள்ளார். இயக்குநர் ஆனந்த்ராஜ் சார் தான் இந்த வாய்ப்பை தந்தார். உங்கள் எல்லோருக்கும் இந்தப்படம் பிடிக்கும் நன்றி.

திரைப்பட விழாக்களை பார்த்து இரண்டு வருடங்கள் ஆகிவிட்டது. மீண்டும் விழாக்கள் நடப்பது மகிழ்ச்சி. இந்தப்படத்தின் பாடல்கள் பார்த்தேன் அருமையாக இருக்கிறது.  தயாரிப்பாளர் நிறைய செலவு செய்துள்ளார். ஒரு காலத்தில் தமிழ் நாட்டில் நிறைய படங்கள் நான் விநியோகம் செய்திருக்கிறேன். கேரளாவில் பண்ணியிருக்கிறேன்,  ஒரு படம் எப்படி வியாபாரம் ஆகிறது என்பது தெரியும், மணிரத்னம்  உடைய நாயகன் படத்தை முதலில் நான் விநியோகம் செய்ய மாட்டேன் என சொன்னேன், அவரது அண்ணன் ஜீவி நீங்கள் தான் பண்ண வேண்டும் என்றார். அதற்காக பண்ணினேன். நாயகன் படம் எனக்கு லாபம் இல்லை, இங்கு தயாரிப்பாளர்களை யாரும் மதிப்பதில்லை, யாரும் உதவுவதில்லை, மணிரத்னம், ரஜினி யாரும் ஜீவிக்கு  கடைசி நேரத்தில் உதவி செய்யவில்லை. இந்த நிலை தான் இங்கு இருக்கிறது, தயாரிப்பாளர் இல்லை என்றால் சினிமா இல்லை. இயக்குநர்கள், நடிகர்கள் இல்லை,  தமிழ் மக்கள் தான் என்னை வாழவைத்தார்கள். எனக்கு கமர்ஷியல் படங்கள் தான் பிடிக்கும் இந்த படத்தில் நல்ல கமர்ஷியல் அம்சங்கள் இருக்கிறது இந்தப்படம் ஜெயிக்க வாழ்த்துக்கள் நன்றி.

நடிகர் மன்சூர் அலிகான் பேசியதாவது…

கடலை போட ஒரு பொண்ணு வேணும் டைட்டில் நன்றாக இருக்கிறது. இப்படியெல்லாம் டைட்டில் வைத்தால் தான் இளைஞர்கள் சினிமாவுக்கு வருகிறார்கள்.  நான் ராஜாதிராஜா, குலோத்துங்க சோழன் பட டைட்டில் வைத்த போது, எல்லோரும் திட்டினார்கள் ஆனால் அந்தப்படம் ஜெயித்தது. இப்போதெல்லாம் பெரிய படத்திற்கு தான் கூட்டம் வருகிறது. விஜய் பீஸ்ட்டுக்கு வெயிட் பண்ணுகிறார்கள். அனிரூத்  சிவகார்த்திகேயன் கலக்குகிறார்கள். பெரிய படமெடுத்தால் தான் மக்கள் பார்க்க வருகிறார்கள். சின்ன படத்திற்கு வருவதில்லை. மத்திய அரசு மக்களிடம் வரி போட்டு எல்லாவற்றையும் பிடுங்கி விடுகிறது. மக்களிடம் பணமில்லை, மக்கள் சந்தோஷமாக இருந்தால் தானே படத்திற்கு வருவார்கள், விஜய்யை ஷீட்டிங்கிலிருந்து வரி ஏய்ப்பு விசாரணை என  கூட்டி போனார்களே அதை யாராவது கேட்டார்களா? நான் மட்டும் தான் கேட்டுக்கொண்டு இருக்கிறேன். எல்லோரும் இணைந்து போராட வேண்டும், ஹீரோ ஹீரோயின் நன்றாக நடித்துள்ளார்கள்,  இந்த கடலை  போட பொண்ணு வேண்டும் ஜெயிக்க வாழ்த்துக்கள்.

இசையமைப்பாளர் ஜிபின் பேசியதாவது..

இந்த படத்தில் ஷங்கர் மகாதேவன் ஒரு பாடல் பாடியிருக்கிறார், அதற்காக மும்பை போய் வந்தோம், தயாரிப்பாளர் செலவு பற்றி கவலை படாமல் நன்றாக வர வேண்டும் என்றார். சங்கர் மகாதேவன் பாடும்போதே இந்தப்பாடல் ஜெயிக்கும் என்றார். இந்தபடத்தில் யுக பாரதி மூன்று பாடல் எழுதியுள்ளார்.  நான் இரண்டு பாடல் எழுதியுள்ளேன், இந்தப்படத்திற்காக எல்லோரும் கடினமாக உழைத்துள்ளோம். இந்தப்படத்தை கொண்டு வந்ததற்கு ராபின் சாருக்கு மனமார்ந்த பாராட்டுக்கள். டைட்டிலை தப்பாக நினைக்காதீர்கள், காதல் செய்ய பொண்ணு வேணும் என்பது தான் கதை. இந்தப்படம் உங்களுக்கு பிடிக்கும் ஆதரவு தாருங்கள் நன்றி.

கார்த்திகேயா கும்மகொண்டா தனது கதாபாத்திரத்தின் ‘தோலில்’ நன்றாக நுழைந்தாலும், அதில் எந்த ‘ஆன்மாவையும்’ சேர்க்கத் தவறிவிட்டார். மிகவும் செயற்கையாகவும் பாசாங்குத்தனமாகவும் வரும், கார்த்திகேயாவின் எதிரி விரும்பிய பதற்றத்தை உருவாக்கத் தவறிவிட்டார். ஹூமா குரேஷிக்கு 'சீட்டி-மார்' காட்சி கிடைத்தாலும், ஒட்டுமொத்தமாக அவரும் பானி ஜேவும் பயன்படுத்தப்படாமல் இருக்கிறார்கள். அவர்களின் கதாபாத்திரங்கள் சத்தம் போடுவதற்கு போதுமான வாய்ப்பைப் பெறவில்லை, இல்லையெனில் அவை இரண்டும் கதையில் நன்றாகப் பொருந்துகின்றன. அச்யுத் குமார் & புகழ் ஸ்கிரிப்ட்டில் நகைச்சுவையான நிவாரணம் சேர்க்கும் தோல்வி முயற்சியை மறைக்க கணிசமான எதையும் சேர்க்கவில்லை.

RK Suresh starrer “VISITHIRAN’ Audio Launch

Director Bala’s home banner B STUDIOS is producing the film ‘VISITHIRAN’ that features RK Suresh in the lead role. The film is the official remake of the critically acclaimed Malayalam movie JOSEPH.

M.Padmakumar, who directed the original version, has helmed this remake version as well. With the project getting completed and all set for the worldwide theatrical release shortly, the audio launch was held this morning (February 22, 2022) in the presence of the film’s cast, crew, and celebrities from the Tamil movie industry. 

Here are the excerpts from this event… 

Studio 9 Sivakumar remained a man of few words saying, “I thank everyone for accepting our invitation and being a part of this event. I am confident that our movie will make you all satisfied and engrossed. Thank you.” 

Sakthivelan said, “It’s not an easy decision to remake a Malayalam movie that has won several critical acclaims and awards including the Best Actor award. RK Suresh, who is very well-known for taking up challenges, has made this happen with complete faith in him. When he initially expressed his desire to become an actor, I thought, it would be an impulsive dream, and would wind up at the earliest, but then, today, I see him as one of the finest stars of our industry. RK Suresh got introduced through the Bala’s direction, and today, has played the lead role in a movie produced by him. GV Prakash is a musical magician, and his involvement in this project is going to escalate the film to next level.” 

Director Saravana Sakthi said, “When actors are going to act in director Bala’s movies, they are instilled with strong confidence and assurance that they are going to bag the National awards. Now to see RK Suresh acting under Bala’s production leaves no space for doubts, but sure that he is going fill his racks with many awards. An actor in the remake has to outperform the one in the original version, and RK Suresh has done it.” 

Producer Murali said, “I have personally witnessed the challenges of RK Suresh, who prepared himself for this project. We earlier released the movie ‘Pisasu’ produced by director Bala. It was critically acclaimed, and at the same time, was commercially successful as well. I am confident that even this movie is going to yield us the same results. GV Prakash’s musical score always makes us feel serene and peaceful. This movie is going to be a benchmark for all of us.” 

Producer Katragatta Prasad said, “We can sense a film’s success by its treatment and presentation. Joseph got ticked in all the boxes of hit formula, and it is being remade in almost all the Indian regional languages now. RK Suresh is a tailor-made actor for the protagonist’s role. Visithiran is going to be a successful movie.” 

Actor Bhagavathi Perumal said, “Cinema has always gifted and blessed with me a good career, and this movie is going to shower its abundant blessings on me. Bala sir wanted to meet me regarding this project to ask my permission if I would be interested to do a specific role. I would have done it even without listening to anything else for he is the master of Midas-touch on any actor. I openly admitted this statement, but still, he was so polite and humble in asking me if I am interested to do this role. I thank him for the unconditional love and opportunity he gave me. Padmakumar sir’s proficiency was evident in every single frame for his details. He gave complete freedom to all the actors. Visithiran is going to be a special movie for everyone, especially RK Suresh sir.”

Filmmaker Seenu Ramasamy said, “When I narrated a script to Suresh’s father, he told me that he would like to make a spiritual movie, and cannot afford to produce his script. He gave me Rs. 500 and wished me good luck in my future. Years later, his son RK Suresh produced my movie Dharmadurai and made me famous. Director Bala has taken care of RK Suresh as his own son and has always shown his concern for his success. Your father’s goodwill and good heart will shower more blessings and success on you. It is quite a challenging task to convert a villain in Tamil cinema into a hero, but RK Suresh has broken the pattern. You can see the unconditional love and affection in his eyes throughout this movie. He is an inborn actor, and he has to hold it tight. Director has done a fabulous job. GV Prakash’s musical score is so nice to hear. I strongly believe this movie is going to be a tremendous hit.” 

 

Music director GV Prakash said, “This is my third movie with Bala sir’s B Studios. When he committed me to this project, I wasn’t aware of Joseph. Then I happened to watch the film and was fascinated by the directorial skills of Padmakumar, and I was inspired to come up with the music to the best of my potential. Suresh and Poorna have delivered stellar performances, and this movie is going to be a great success.” 

 

 Producer Dhananjayan said, “Everyone has been stating that Visithiran is a remake of Joseph movie, but it is merely an adaptation. Lots of fresh and new scenes have been included in this movie, and audiences, who have seen the original version, will acknowledge it. When I saw Joseph, I immediately wanted to remake it, but Suresh requested that he would like to take it up. I was brimmed with doubts, about whether he would be able to do justice to this character for he has been consistently doing negative roles. However, he has slashed out my doubts, by breathing more life and naturalness in this character. I congratulate him on this great work. I thank Bala sir for bringing such a good movie into the Tamil movie industry. I wish grand success for this movie.”

Actor RK Suresh said, “I thank my parents, and my brother like Bala Anna for holding my hands, and guiding me with his complete concern for me. I am a part of this movie industry for 13 years. The press and media friends have always extended their support for me. I am so happy to have my movie event happening in cinema halls after they are operating in full swing. 16 வயதில் எனது 2005 முதல் அழகு கலையை ஆரம்பித்ததேன். எனக்கு முதலடியை போட்டு கொடுத்தவர்கள் அபர்ணா பாலநாதன். பிறகு சென்னையில் 6 மாத காலமாக அழகு கலை நிபுணர் திருமதி வசந்த் ராவிடம் அவர்களிடம்  பயிற்சி பெற்றேன்.

பிறகு சினிமா கலைஞர்களுக்கும் திருமண நிகழ்ச்சி களுக்கும் எனது பணியைத் தொடர்ந்து செய்து கொண்டிருந்தேன்.

பிறகு லண்டன் கனடா மலேசியா என பல நாடுகளுக்கு எனது மேக்கப் பணியை தொடர்ந்து பிசியாக பறந்து கொண்டிருந்தேன்

ஆனால் எனது உழைப்பிற்கு தகுந்த அங்கீகாரம் கிடைக்கவில்லை.

Chennai:

With a vision to help 1 million students learn and earn better, CareerLabs, one of India’s fast-growing Educational Technology (EdTech) companies, has chosen a route that sets it apart from its contemporaries in the industry. The startup has headed to Tier-2 and Tier-3 Indian cities to source talent. Serving as one of its first milestones in this quest is the establishment of its R&D Centre in Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu.

However, the story of setting up its center in Tirunelveli is an inspiring journey. At the vanguard of this endeavour towards providing local talent with employment opportunities is Jebastin Prabaharan, Vice President of Engineering, CareerLabs.

From a Small Town to the US and Back

Hailing from a village near Tuticorin, around 605 km from Chennai, Prabaharan completed his primary education in his hometown. He acquired a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E) degree in CSE from the College of Engineering, Guindy (CEG), Asia’s oldest technical institution.

Beginning his career in 2003 with Infravio, a software startup then, Prabaharan spent the next 19 years working with multiple organisations and donning several hats. As a part of the startup, he contributed to building successful enterprise global products out of Chennai.

As he built a solid profile for himself, his 9-year stint with Photon, a Global IT Services and IT Consulting company, took him to the US. During his time there, he worked closely with Fortune 500 companies such as Best Buy and Walgreens with a team of over 200 engineers spread across the globe. However, Prabaharan’s heart was set on returning home.

After arriving in India in 2020, he served as a consultant with CareerLabs. In 2021, he formally began his journey with the EdTech company and has been instrumental in the growth of the Tirunelveli centre since then. When asked why he chose to come back to India, he says: “Geography is no longer an impediment to building globally competitive products. The local talent here has a great appetite to work on cutting-edge tech and for CareerLabs this is the first step in bringing accessibility to tech beyond the tech hubs of India.”

Taking Opportunities to Small Towns

Officially established in November 2021, the R&D Centre in Tirunelveli has grown from strength to strength. Beginning with just 10 employees, the center currently boasts of 50; all of whom are talents identified from colleges in the region. They were handpicked and trained by Prabaharan himself.

Nevertheless, the important question is ‘Why Tirunelveli?’ Prabaharan explains that the organization's research led them to an interesting finding: four of the top 200 engineering colleges as per the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) were located within a 200km radius from Tirunelveli.

In addition to this, the city also has a pool of experienced talent: professionals such as Prabaharan who wish to continue pursuing their careers without compromising their work-life balance. The center is set to recruit 30 experienced candidates (lateral hires) to bolster its numbers.

Impacting Lives in India’s Heartlands

CareerLabs’ ambitious foray into Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities for expansion is driven by one of its key missions: to provide a high-quality work environment for engineers in Tamilnadu and Kerala. This flips the existing status quo of freshers and professionals from small towns seeking greener pastures in metropolitan cities such as Bengaluru and Chennai. Therefore, CareerLabs is setting an example as an employer by recruiting candidates from lower-tier cities.

Importantly, the COVID-19 pandemic has provided a platform to companies for accelerating the transition to smaller cities to commence business operations. With hesitance among students and professionals from lower-tier cities to move to bigger ones on account of the pandemic, and the scarcity of placement opportunities plaguing them, CareerLabs’ venturing into these regions is creating a positive impact on the lives of these communities; thereby staying true to the company’s core values.

Designed by the EHL Group, this professional diploma course is being conducted at four ITC luxury properties including ITC Grand Chola (Chennai), ITC Maurya (New Delhi), ITC Sonar & Royal Bengal (Kolkata) and ITC Maratha (Mumbai).

 

Over 160 students who have passed 12^th standard in school are expected to enrol for VET by EHL in Tamil Nadu this year. The industry experts at ITC Hotels will impart training to the students while CII has assured 100% placement upon successful completion of the ‘VET by EHL’ Professional Diploma program which is recognized by all major hospitality chains worldwide.

 

Talking about the program, Mr. Praveen Roy, Associate Director and Regional Head of VET by EHL for South Asia, Middle East & Myanmar said “VET by EHL was devised specifically to bridge the current skills gap and to strengthen India’s position as the global hospitality workforce supplier of choice. About the Program

 

The VET by EHL Professional Diploma program is spread over 18 months, divided into three levels of learning - Foundation, Intermediate and Advanced. The Program will offer learning in three distinct streams: ‘Culinary’, ‘Food & Beverage Service’ & ‘Rooms’ that follow VET by EHL’s world-renowned quality-assurance standards. Each certificate level builds skills on top of the previous and culminates into a Professional Diploma.

 

Students will get online access to the world-class global Learning Management System developed by EHL. They will be assessed on both theoretical knowledge on the Swiss Learning Management System as well as on practical skills acquired during training. On completion, the students will become a part of the prestigious VET by EHL Global Alumni Network. Furthermore, they are also offered an option to enrol for and pursue a UGC recognized degree.

 

The students are assured of 100% placement after successful completion of the programme. Backed by the international professional diploma, being job ready in 18-months and with real-life learning experience at luxury hotels of ITC, they will be sought after by all 5-star hotels in the country and abroad.

 

The total fee for the program is Rs 300,000 (plus taxes).

Student must have cleared 12th standard from a recognized board in India with minimum 50% marks in English
