In the film, Mathivanan (Indran) has introduced Mahasree (Pramila) in the role of a blind woman. Indira (Pavitra) plays a journalist. Also Dinesh (Senthil) Mandes Ramesh, Dan Sivakumar (Vasi-Indra's father) Uma Maheshwari (Indra's mother).
Madhivanan, the hero, goes to Coonoor to write a novel. Madhivanan, who is unable to find the right story, meets a blind woman, Mahashri. Mathivanan, who decides to write a novel based on her, has to somehow hand over the blind girl to her parents. For this, when his ex-girlfriend collects information about the blind woman with the help of a journalist, it is revealed that Madhivanan has a relationship with the blind woman. What is the relationship between these two in the end? That is the rest of the story of the film 'Ottru'.
Madhivanan, who is playing the hero, has lived the role of a swindler. His pain for the blind woman is amazing with his natural performance. Mahashri, who plays the role of a blind woman, has done a very compelling role very naturally.
It must be said that the girl who comes as a journalist has given a good performance and has lived as a real journalist and the other characters have also given performances that suit the story.
