'Kathir', produced by Dwarka Studios and directed by Dinesh Palanivel and starring Venkatesh, Santosh Pratap, Rajini Sandy, and Pavya Trika
Kathir (Venkatesh), who has studied engineering, is coming to Chennai in search of work. She stays in her friend's rented room and looks for work. The landlord scolds Grandma for not liking Kathir's suits. At one point Kathir takes him to the hospital after his grandmother faints at home.
Kathir, who sees his ex-girlfriend there when he goes to join the office, returns without going to work. He ends by telling his grandmother of his love failure. The grandmother who comforts him tells of the shocks of her life. The rest of the story of ‘Kathir’ is about what Kathir does after finally getting inspired by listening to his grandmother’s life story.
Venkatesh, who played the protagonist, has excelled from the beginning to the end. Actor Santosh Pratap, who appears in a special scene in the second half of the film as a communist fighter, is awkward in his performance as a revolutionary. Rajini Sandy in the role of Grandma makes us unknowingly admire. Venkatesh's friends are acting to such an extent that we do not have a homeowner like this. Everyone who comes in the character has given a good performance.
Music by Prashant Pillai and cinematography by Jayant Sethu Madhavan have traveled according to the story. Dinesh Palanivel, who has directed the scenes where the protagonist chooses a career of giving a hand to the village farmers with friends after the demise of a lifelong friend and directing scenes where he fights to break down barriers, is praised by all.
Overall ‘Kathir’ is a lesson for young people
