Malaysia Chennai Hosts Jersey Launch & Awareness Ride for Fly & Ride
Cycle Event 2025
Chennai, 30 April 2025 Tourism Malaysia Chennai in collaboration
with The Consulate General of Malaysia in Chennai, Dayasakthi Travels and Just
Buy Cycles organized a vibrant jersey launching ceremony followed by a
20-kilometer awareness ride today. The event highlighted the upcoming Fly & Ride Cycle Event 2025 – Malaysia
& Thailand Edition, slated to take place from 19th to 24th May 2025.
The jersey was officially unveiled by the His Excellency Mr. Saravana
Kumar Kumaravasagam, Consul General
of Malaysia, Chennai and Tourism Malaysia
Chennai’s Director, Mr. Hishamuddin Mustafa, in the presence of Dato’ Chandran Suppiah, Director of
Dayasakti Travel & Tours Sdn Bhd, representatives from Just Buy Cycles, and an enthusiastic team of cyclists from Chennai.
Following the jersey launch, the awareness
ride commenced from the Consulate General of Malaysia Chennai, weaving through
Besant Nagar, and returning to the Consulate, covering a total distance of 20
kilometers. The ride witnessed spirited participation from the Consul General
of Malaysia Chennai, Tourism Malaysia Chennai’s Director & Deputy Director,
Trade Consul, Vice Consul (Immigration) and the Chennai Cyclists Team,
symbolizing camaraderie, active living, and the spirit of cross-border tourism.
The Fly & Ride Cycle Event
2025 aims to foster international cooperation, promote sustainable tourism,
and showcase Visit Malaysia 2026.
The event will feature a 200-kilometer non-competitive social ride across
Malaysia and Thailand, with participation from over 30 cyclists from South India.
His Excellency Mr. Saravana Kumar: “To foster a healthy lifestyle and nurture
bilateral ties through tourism and sports. This is a fantastic cycling
experience that brings together Malaysian and Indian communities in Chennai.
This event today beautifully showcases the strong bond between our nations.”
Mr. Hishamuddin Mustafa: “The jersey launch and awareness ride
signify the beginning of an exciting journey to connect cultures, inspire
adventure, and promote Visit Malaysia 2026.”
The event concluded with a call for greater participation in the Fly
& Ride Cycle Event, aiming to bridge communities and cultures through the
universal love of cycling.
